Congo-born, Peckham-raised, Omo Frenchie is a leading light in a new wave of music coming out of the UK that pulls from recent British staples such as Grime and UK Rap, and throws them in the pot with styles like Afrobeats, Coupe Decale and Zouk, to create an entirely new sound of the underground.

As confident layering harmonies as he is spitting fierce bars, Omo Frenchie is a true all-rounder, who also produces many of his own beats, and has a unique approach to melody.

Laced with French slang and a unique international swagger, he has laid down the gauntlet with his debut EP, to be released on Peckham-based imprint, Cotch International.

Featuring the cream of current UK talent, the EP showcases Frenchie’s versatility as an artist, jumping from the cutting-edge club bangers of ‘Betise’ and ‘Telema’, to the panoramic Hip Hop cut ‘Sauce feat Suspect OTB’, to hook-heavy Afrobeats jams such as Be2Gedda, and the infectious summer jam ‘Chosen feat. Abra Cadabra’.
